BRAC Liberia launched in 2008 with programs in Microfinance, Small Enterprise Development, Agriculture, Poultry and Livestock, Health, Empowerment and Livelihood for Adolescent (ELA) Girls, Psychosocial and Survival Support now impacting the lives of over 560,000 Liberians.

BRAC Liberia is looking for competent, dynamic and self-motivated person to fill the following regular positions in its Empowerment & Livelihood for Adolescence (ELA) programme:

Position 1: No. of Vacancies: One (1)

Job Title : Programme Manager - ELA

Tenure : 1 (one) year (Renewable)

Salary: Negotiable

Department : Empowerment & Livelihood for Adolescence (ELA) Programme

Reports to : Program Coordination Manager, BRAC Liberia

Duty Station : Monrovia with extensive field visits to project implementations areas

Key responsibilities:

Ø To prepare yearly, quarterly and monthly program milestones as per program design timeframe and available resources and ensure accountability.

Ø To gather research information, analyze the data and customize the findings to aid programme materials development

Ø To ensure that the programme is implemented and Adolescent clubs are functional and appropriate internal control, monitoring and evaluation tools are in place.

Ø To organize and facilitate workshop and training both at operational management and at grass root level.

Ø Develop funding proposals, liaise and establish good relationship with potential donor and funding partners.

Ø Prepare and submit accurate and timely reports to donors and funding partners

Ø To mentor programme staff in order to instill in them the core values of BRAC, work towards capacity and overall staff development so as to mitigate high turnover.

Ø To prepare monthly, quarterly and yearly progress report and periodic narrative reports

Ø To liaise with relevant government ministries, departments and agencies, donors, local authorities, other NGOs and organizations in order to establish a good working collaboration.

Ø To initiate and promote team work with all other BRAC Programmes and support departmental staff in order to achieve BRAC overall goal.

Person Specifications:

Ø A Bachelors degree or preferably Masters in Education/Gender /Youth or related field

Ø At least three progressive years of work experience in related field.

Ø Ability to work in Multi-dimensional approaches

Ø Good hands-on experience in multiple computer skills like, MS. Word, MS. Excel, MS. PowerPoint, MS. Project, Pastel, Radar, ERP and software installation.

Ø Keen on learning and understanding new productive practices

Ø Training and workshop facilitation skills

Ø Proactive and results oriented

Ø Highly flexible and dynamic

Ø Good team building and team playing skills

Ø Good coordination skills and sensitive to feedback and accountability

Ø Good interpersonal, communication and analytical skills

Ø Good report writing and presentation skills
