BRAC International (BI) is seeking application from competent, dynamic and self-motivated individuals to fill the following position:
Senior Manager, Program Development, BRAC Afghanistan
The Senior Manager, Program Development will search for new funding opportunities, development partnership with other organisations, writing concept notes and proposals and maintaining donor liaison to secure funding for new projects and programmes for BRAC Afghanistan.
Key Responsibilities
- Searches for new funding opportunity through donor websites and donor engagement meetings.
- Reviews the funding opportunities and checks alignment with country strategy, organizational policies, program priorities, country capacity etc.
- Gathers information on country situation and becomes familiar with the requirements and guidelines of various funders.
- Establishes possible partnership and consortium with different organizations, agencies.
- Writes concept notes/proposals for different programs in consultation with program teams BI HO / GRM.
- Ensures all actions are completed at the end of a proposal development process.
- Builds relationships with representatives of potential donors
- Communicates regularly with program and field staff as well as other departments on ongoing and planned program
- Represents the organization at meetings, conferences, and workshops
- Undertakes all other duties and projects as may be assigned from time to time.
Safeguarding:
- Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the programme’s goals on safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
- Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
- Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, encourage others to do so.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Masters in International Relations/Development/ Anthropology/Social Science or relevant subject
- At least 5 years’ experience in relevant field.
- Proposal/report writing training certificate, donor project proposal format (documents) related training
Skills and Competencies Requirements:
- Availability of information on time
- Managing coordination and communication channel between multiple stakeholders
- Proposal writing/ report writing within a short time
- Donor requirement understanding/conceptual skills,
- Strong English written skill,
- Familiar with the development & Humanitarian needs in Afghanistan.
- Coordination (information gathering & analysis) &
- Presentation ability.
