Senior Specialist, Programme Design & Grant Writing

BRAC International’s Programme Development, Resource Mobilizaion and Learning (PRL) Unit is looking to recruit a dynamic and flexible Senior Specialist for Programme Development and Grant Writing to be based at BRAC International’s Africa Regional Office. You will provide support to BRAC’s 6 country offices in Africa in all aspects of programme design and grant writing.

You will play a key role in Strengthening the capacity of BRAC’s country offices to design and develop quality programmes and BRAC International offices, focusing on Africa. You will play a leading role in engaging with fundraising focals and technical teams and identifying resources and tools needed to ensure that BRAC’s funding applications are above par.

I**mportant to have:** a minimum of 4 years of experience in an international development environment (NGO) that includes leading roles in programme development, design workshops, proposal writing, M&E systems and proposal writing; experience in coordinating diverse design teams, including capacity building, coaching, and mentoring skills; exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.

Key skills:

  • Proven track record in securing high-value grants from key donors (e.g. USAID, EU, UN, the World Bank, etc.);
  • Good understanding of development trends in Africa;
  • Exceptionally well-honed proposal development/writing skills;
  • Strong leadership in programme design (eg ToCs, logframes, results frameworks)
  • Proven experience working virtually in a global environment;
  • Strong attention to detail;
  • Experience in coaching and skills development;
  • Able to operate fluently in English.
